About FABTECH 2018

FABTECH is the most significant event featuring metal forming and processing held in North America. The exhibition showcases all aspects of the high-tech metalworking sector and provides an excellent opportunity for discovering new solutions for your existing problems and glimpsing what the leading experts in their fields expect the future to bring, a perfect opportunity for networking. There is also an extensive educational program led by industry experts.

The first FABTECH was held in 1981 and has grown ever since. There will be around 45,000 visitors representing 120 countries. The exhibition encompasses three halls organised as technology pavilions, each one encompassing a key metalworking technology.  There will be more than 1,700 exhibitors. This year FABTECH is using a new logo designed to reflect emergent technologies and Innovation. This show is a world beater, and as such we strongly recommend you attend.

SPI Lasers at FABTECH 2018

The sheer scale of this show might seem overwhelming, but with a little careful planning you can easily find your way around and optimise your visit. It really is a one-stop shop and the perfect place to find the tools and resources you need to increase your productivity, discover new solutions for existing problems and get a glimpse of the future of metal processing. We will be demonstrating our latest fiber laser innovations at stand B5559, and we hope that you can find the time to visit us; we certainly look forward to meeting you there. If you feel you would like to get in contact sooner, then our contact details are listed here.

See us at The Knowledge Bar

The Knowledge Bar sessions at FABTECH are held on the show floor in the 3D/Additive Manufacturing Pavilion and are designed to provide the opportunity to ask industry experts questions about your specific 3D/additive manufacturing challenges. These sessions are presentation-free and all about engaging with knowledgeable people, working through challenges and meeting your specific information needs.

Our very own Dr. Steve Kidd (Global Sales Support Manager) will be presenting on ‘Challenges of Fiber Laser Sources for Additive Manufacturing’

Description: In order to meet the overall quality of 3D parts, Additive Manufacturing processes can require stringent characteristics of fiber laser sources, both in terms of performance and control. This Knowledge Bar will cover fiber laser optical characteristics (including power, wavelength, beam quality, beam profile and spot size) and the control/interfacing needs of these lasers. This information can then be used to discuss the influence of the laser characteristics on finished 3D parts.

Power and Precision

At FABTECH this year we will be displaying both our latest and most powerful ever lasers from the redENERGY and redPOWER product lines.

Perfect for welding, cleaning and high speed marking applications, our redENERGY G4 200W EP-Z Pulsed fiber laser will be on stand at the show.

Our redPOWER multi-kw QUBE provides 8kW of CW fiber laser power, enabling high speed and quality across thick cutting and welding applications. See the most powerful laser in SPI Lasers history on stand at FABTECH.

Meet us on Stand #B5559

Our team at FABTECH will be on stand to answer any of your fiber laser questions and to give detailed insights into our market leading products.
