Our range of redPOWER CW Lasers can be used in a vast array of welding applications. The Single Mode beam quality produces a high quality, repeatable weld with a large process window.
This stainless steel lap weld (above picture) used 0.6mm thick parts. The full penetration weld was developed through several trials with varying speed and gas flows. The redPOWER QUBE Laser produced a large process tolerance with good quality achieved at a variety of focus positions and speeds.
Argon shielding was used both co-axially and below the part to ensure a clean, smooth weld with minimal peak on the weld head. The large adjustable power range of the redPOWER QUBE Fiber Laser can be used to successfully process thinner materials without introducing a Heat Affected Zone (HAZ). Although this sample was produced using Continuous Wave (CW) operation the Laser can also be modulated to further control the heat input in complicated geometries.
Multi-mode variants of the QUBE Laser are available, giving a portfolio of weld profiles ensuring that our redPOWER product range can reproduce or improve upon the weld results produced by traditional technologies or even other Laser welders.
