Our range of redENERGY Pulsed Fiber Lasers are ideally suited for a range of engraving applications. For fine engraving the high beam quality of the 20W SM Laser gives finest control and beam quality. However, for applications where width of mark and volume of material removed are the key drivers then the 40W HM Laser with its higher pulse energy and peak power is the most appropriate tool.
Micromachining of complex 3D shapes for applications such as mould tools can require complex processing strategies to achieve the best results. Our redENERGY range of Lasers, with their various waveforms give users greater control over pulse parameters that can lead to more efficient and effective processing.
An example would be the use of low repetition rate, high energy pulses to rough out and remove the bulk of the material while a higher frequency shorter pulse with less energy can subsequently be used in a polishing pass yielding a better surface finish.
