We provide comprehensive training courses designed to provide a complete overview of particular Laser functions, topic, or application. In addition, on request, we can customise an existing course or create something bespoke to suit your specific needs.
Our training material is divided into ‘modules’ – each lasting between 1 and 3 days – they can easily be combined to create more comprehensive courses, tailored specifically to the needs of each individual customer.
The information shown below gives an idea of what modules we have available. Detailed contents lists for these modules are available from our specialist trainer Alistair Shirreffs (see contact details below).
|Course Type||Course Content||Course Length|
|PRISM OEM + FVCU||Operator Installation + Service||2 Days|
|QUBE Cased||Operator Installation + Service||3 Days|

The tcourses available to purchase are predominantly based at our UK Head Quarters located just outside Southampton on the south coast.
However, training can also be held ‘offsite’ at your premises or at your Local global SPI Lasers Service Centre.

Internal Courses (SPI Lasers sites)
Delegates can share ideas and discuss solutions with other like minded personnel from a variety of manufacturing backgrounds.
Your training will be primarily classroom based with provision of a class 1 cabinet to perform basic operation of the Lasers without the need for a fully equipped laboratory. The training is provided using the latest SPI Lasers with quick and easy access to our onsite Fiber Laser experts.
Our Southampton training facility has direct access to the team(s) responsible for designing, developing and building your Laser(s). If you need access to our Engineering group please state before the course as extra time will be required to facilitate the meetings.
Daily lunch and refreshments are catered for onsite at SPI Lasers with an additional evening meal provided on extended courses.
Delegates are able to discuss confidential information with the instructor – adding a valuable consultancy element to the course.
Offsite courses utilise the customer’s own facilities, providing a cost saving with delegates not requiring travel or hotels for extended courses.
Charges are levied at the same rate as training given at an SPI Lasers Local Centre as per each delegate up to a maximum of 6 delegates per course.
The customer provides all the meeting facilities, refreshments and lunch, and arranges everything concerning the delegates who will attend the course.
We usually provide a master copy of the delegate notes, as a hard copy or a PDF file, for the customer to have copied and bound ready for the course. The notes are usually PowerPoint slides at 2 to a page, but other formats are easily arranged.
When we arrive on (your) site we simply need to connect our laptop into your VGA projector.
